Well Yall, Valentines Day is quickly approaching and im setting here like “Where did Christmas Go?” ya know what I mean? I am going to show you how to make a Valentines Banner using burlap ribbon I had left from Christmas and pages out of a book I got at a Thrift Store! Easy and Budget Friendly, nothings better than that, right?!

The Burlap Ribbon I used is around 4 inches wide. I started by but cutting the ribbon in roughly 10 inches long, but of coarse you can make them shorter or longer. You can fold it in half and that is the size of each flag on the banner.
You will then take your folded ribbon and the fold it again long ways, we will not make the points of your flag. Staring about one inch in the middle of your ribbon, we will cut a diagonal cut straight to the corner. You just made your first flag! Now repeat steps one and two 6 times.
Once you have made all your flags, its now time to place the flags on jute to create your banner. I just laid the jute across the center of each unfolded flag, and glued it down. Fold ribbon back in half and glue the corners down and now we have a banner!
Now lets make the hearts. I used paged from a book I got from the thrift store for .25 cents. I make my heart I used the same ol technique we have been doing since kindergarten and folded the paper in half and cut half a heart. Then glue a heart to the center of each flag.
I wanted to jazz it up a little, so I took strips of fabric and tied them between each flag, giving you almost a tassel look.
Guys your DONE! Easy enough right!
